REMICADE® (Infliximab) is an immunosuppressive drug that is used in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, as well as other autoimmune diseases.
REMICADE® is manufactured by Janssen Biotech.
Administration and Dosage:
Administration of REMICADE® follows an induction regimen of 3 intravenous infusions at week 0, 2, and 6 followed by a maintenance infusion then every 8 weeks for maintenance.
Indication:
REMICADE® is indicated to treat:
- Crohn’s Disease
- Ulcerative Colitis
- Pediatric Ulcerative Colitis
- Pediatric Crohn’s Disease
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Ankylosing Spondylitis
- Psoriatic Arthritis
- Plaque Psoriasis
Common Side Effects:
The more common side effects of REMICADE® include respiratory infections (such as sinus infections and sore throat), headache, coughing and stomach pain.
